EMT Care Attendant Degrees
It’s always good to know that if you experience an accident, or hurt yourself unexpectedly, you have the ability to call 911 and quickly receive attention from medical professionals that will be able to stabilize you and transport you to a nearby medical facility. The medical professionals that are responsible for performing this on the spot care are called EMT attendants, or emergency medical technicians, and they are responsible for assessing an emergency scene and taking action to protect the health and well being of all individuals involved. If you are interested in a career as an EMT care attendant, you should know that they are utilized to assist the more experienced EMT’s or paramedics on an emergency call. By completing a two year training program in emergency medical procedure at an accredited junior college or technical vocational school, they are able to receive the training they need to handle stressful medical situations and implement emergency medical care in the field. Upon graduation, EMT care attendants typically find jobs at hospitals, or for private emergency medical or ambulance companies. As the country’s population continues to grow, there will be an increased demand for qualified emergency medical attendants to help ambulance services deal with the growing need for their services. Depending on where you live, and your level of experience, you will be able to earn $17 dollars per hour.
