• Pharmacy Technology Description: At Heald, we believe the best way to learn is to do. That's why our Pharmacy Technology program allows you to master important concepts in the classroom and then apply them in practice. In this program, you will learn how to handle and prepare prescription and medication orders, tabulate pharmaceutical calculations, and perform non-sterile and aseptic compounding procedures while using pharmacy-related technology, as well as adhere to federal and state pharmacy law. You also will be prepared to sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) offered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). The most important thing is that you'll get practical instruction, so you can be an asset to any pharmacies and/or healthcare organizations.
