  • Medical Administration

    Description: Our experienced instructors can help you build and develop the skills you'll need to begin working in a medical office. We've created a training program designed to not only teach you skills but to help give you an idea of what to expect on the job. Here are just some of the skills that come with our training:

    1. We begin with the basics - communication. You'll learn to compose and respond to different types of communication, including memos, business letters, and phone calls. We'll also help you refine skills such as grammar, punctuation and keyboard management.
    2. Computer instruction, including use of the Internet and two of the most commonly used software programs-Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
    3. A basic, working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and mental health, including medical terminology and common diseases.
    4. The ability to perform more advanced support functions, such as patient communication, recording patient histories, maintaining charts, admitting patients, and scheduling appointments.

  • Surgical Technology

    Description: Surgical Technologists are members of the operating room team and assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses or other surgical personnel. During surgery, Surgical Technologists pass instruments to the surgeons and may hold retractors, cut sutures and help count sponges, needles, supplies and instruments. Hospitals still continue to be the primary employers of Surgical Technologists. Lincoln's Surgical Technologists A.A.S. Degree program includes hands-on training in the classroom setting as well as clinical externship in local hospitals and facilities. Pre-admission testing is required.
